Ethiopia is located in East Africa, on the Gulf of Aden and is just north of the Equator. It is bordered by Somalia in the East, Kenya in the South, South Sudan in the West, and Sudan in the North.

In Ethiopia only seven years of school are required and the literacy rate of girls from ages 15-24 is 39% and the literacy rate of boys ages 15-24 is 62%. Ethiopia's economy is dependent on agriculture, and is quick-growing because of the size of the population.
